The work of Antonio Barbieri (Rho, 1985) is characterized by a fusion of technology and artistic techniques related to tradition. Barbieri’s poetics is at the crossroads between figuration and abstraction, looking for solutions and new approaches to timeless formal problems. Moving between different fields, the artist enriches his research using an always different approach to form, creating a heterogeneous production but with strong elements of recognizability. The resulting subjects range from the reinterpretation of the human figure, investigated in depth in the relationships and connections between man and society, to the taxonomic study of the plant and animal kingdom, reworked through three dimensional modeling. The continuous experimentation leads him to a massive use of technology, that acts as a humus to the conception of the works, through the digitization and reworking of natural forms. He is a professor of 3D modeling and printing and collaborates with various realities in the area including Contemporary Cluster, Galleria La Linea and Andrea Festa Fine Art. Among the latest projects, here’s come highlights: Digital Soul (Talent Garden, Milan), Genetica della Forma (Palazzo Collicola), Organic Architectures (Officine Chigiotti), There is no wind on the Moon (Contemporary Cluster).
This particular type of work created for MaVoix focuses on the study of the environmental processes that generate and modify the form.
