As a result of the continuous aesthetic and sense- based research that MaVoix constantly carries out, we here find the Fontana Wallpaper.
This design is freely inspired by the engraved rock crystal jug from the legacy of Caterina de ‘Medici. It was later inherited by her niece Cristina di Lorena in 1589 and has since been described in the inventories of the Uffizi and is conserved in Palazzo Pitti together with the collections of Ludovica de ‘Medici.
From woman to woman this jug has traveled for almost 500 years. The detail given by the raised fish-shaped handle and the body engraved with scroll motifs is freely reinterpreted according to the MaVoix stylistic features. This pitcher is represented throughout 12 wallpapers in which it is the protagonist within the collections. The jug is dressed in elegance and discretion in the variants of the Essential collection, becoming almost invisible in the Osso di Seppia color, contemporary on a Dark Orchid background and powerful in the Aquamarine Blue variant.
It therefore returns forevermore in the Racconti collection where, assuming more spirited tones, it blends in with midnight black backgrounds, pastel tones lines and cotton tapestries that recall the ancient ones.
