Revelation II Celestite is a wallpaper designed by Costantino Gucci that interprets the surface as a constantly evolving landscape, where structure and matter coexist in a delicate balance. The design emerges from the overlap of a rigorous geometric grid and organic marks that appear to expand freely across the space, creating a composition that changes according to light conditions and the viewer’s perspective.
This work takes shape through the encounter between an ordered framework and a constellation of subtle traces that move across it, as if the surface retained the memory of a spontaneous gesture. Fine lines, layered textures, and graphic fragments intertwine to create a complex visual landscape where order and dissolution continuously alternate.
Costantino Gucci’s research once again focuses on the concept of perception: what initially appears as a technical and rational structure gradually reveals a softer, more atmospheric dimension. The grid emerges and fades away, while the marks settle across the surface like traces left behind by time.
Designed for contemporary interiors, hospitality environments, and contract projects, Revelation II pairs naturally with organic materials, satin-finished metals, mineral surfaces, and light woods, helping to create refined and luminous spaces.
In the Celestite variant, the design draws inspiration from the mineral of the same name. Powdery blues, icy reflections, and delicate cerulean nuances blend into a sophisticated and airy palette that conveys a sense of openness and lightness. The blue graphic texture gently emerges from the pale background, creating a balanced contrast that enhances the depth of the design without overwhelming the composition.
